You will need?
2 tbsp of peanut butter
1 chili pod or ¼ tsp of chili powder
Juice of half a lime
1-2 crushed garlic cloves
A bit of ginger
2-3 tbsp of soy sauce
1 tsp of cane sugar or agave or maple syrup for sweetening
½ dl of water
1 tbsp of oil
How to prepare?
Mix the ingredients together and if it seems too thick, you can add a splash of water or lime juice.
Marinate the tempeh pieces for at least one hour, but the longer the better. 12-24 hours would be especially good. Bake the tempeh in the oven or air grill and pour the remaining marinade over the hot tempeh, the warm tempeh absorbs the flavours nicely. You can also sprinkle sesame seeds on the sticky pieces. Serve with a fresh, green salad.
NordTempeh is a pea, but with a little twist – fermented and therefore more gut-friendly and easier to digest. Tempeh is a traditional Indonesian food high in protein and fibre and peas are a traditional foodstuff in Estonia.
