You will need?
4 tbsp of dark soy sauce or tamari sauce
½ dl of vegetable broth
1 tbsp of oil
2 tbsp of agave or maple syrup or 1 tbsp of cane sugar
1 large clove of garlic
1 tbsp of rice vinegar, white wine vinegar or lemon juice
1 small chili or chili flakes.
½ tsp of cornstarch
½ dl of water
A pinch of salt
How to prepare?
Mix the sauce ingredients together and marinate the chopped tempeh for a couple of hours. Pour oil into a pan and heat the drained tempeh from both sides. Mix the cornstarch with 1/2 dl of water and add to the marinade. Pour all the marinade into the pan and let it soak into the tempeh.
Serve with rice, broccoli, chopped green onion. If you wish, you can also toast sesame seeds or cashews.
NORTHERN TEMPEH
NordTempeh is a pea, but with a little twist – fermented and therefore more gut-friendly and easier to digest. Tempeh is a traditional Indonesian food high in protein and fibre and peas are a traditional foodstuff in Estonia.
